Experience a Culture of Care With Caring Hands

Creating a safe home environment for someone with dementia doesn't mean eliminating all risks it means balancing safety with dignity and independence. As dementia progresses, perception, judgment, and problem-solving abilities decline, making once-familiar spaces potentially hazardous. These practical modifications help maintain safety while allowing your loved one to remain comfortable in their own home.

Connect with a caregiver that's right for your needs

The cost for Caring Hands is based on the unique needs of your situation and the amount of time you need a caregiver per day. We can provide companion care and personal care services from just a few hours at a time to live-in or 24/7 support.

How Much Help Do You Need?

Charles needs

4 hours per day

Charles is still mostly independent, perhaps living alone. But due to some mobility issues, he needs a little extra help with daily tasks. This could include help with bathing and dressing for the day, light housekeeping, meal prep, grocery shopping and other errand running.

Margaret may live with a family member who is her primary caregiver, but she can't be left alone due to a condition such as Alzheimer's disease or a severe disability. Her main caregiver may work outside the home during the day and has evening activities and responsibilities that they must attend to, needing someone they trust to be with Margaret when they cannot be.

Margaret needs

12-16 hours per day

Nancy needs

24/7 or live-in services

Nancy cannot be left alone, but lives alone or with someone else who is unable to care for her. In this case, there are two options: 24/7 care, where caregivers attend to personal and companion care needs in 8-hour shifts; or live-in services, where caregivers are assigned to 2- to 3-day shifts in the client's home but are also able to get a full night's sleep in their own space during that time. This scenario is common for those clients with Dementia or Alzheimer's Disease, a severe disability with little to no mobility, or another major health issue such as paralysis due to a stroke. Please contact your local Caring Hands office to discuss if this service is available.
